Abstract

Indonesia is located in an area prone to disasters, such as earthquakes, landslides, tsunamis, floods, volcanic eruptions, strong winds, and even forest fires . The research design used is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design . The population in this study were 120 families and 433 people in Rt.04 Sungai Lulut Village, East Banjarmasin District. The sampling technique used in this study is simple random sampling , taking randomly without regard to the existing strata in the population . The test used is the Wilcoxon sign Ranjk test which serves to measure the effectiveness of 2 groups of samples that are in pairs (dependent). The results of the Wicoxon sign rank test statistic , = 0.05, show that P value = 0.0 02 , which means that the Iwilcoxon sign rank test result t < 0.05, then Ho = Rejected, meaning that there is an Effectiveness of Providing Education on Flood Disaster Preparedness towards knowledge of the community in the Sungai Lulut sub-district as well as the results of the statistical test t test, = 0.05, it is shown that P value = 0.0 00 which means that the Wilcoxon sign rank test result <0.05 then Ho = Rejected means that the effectiveness of the provision of preparedness education is obtained. flood disaster on preparedness behavior in the community in the Sungai Lulut village
