Factors Affecting Health Protocol Compliance During The Covid-19 Pandemic: A Literature Review

Abstract

The Covid-19 case in Indonesia. Reached a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of 3.77% and a cure rate of 73.77%. The Covid-19 pandemic is predicted to belong, so the public must prepare with a new balance. Compliance with health protocols is very important to prevent the potential expansion of the spread of Covid-19 cases in the community. This literature review identifies factors that influence adherence to health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. Literature searches were carried out on the ProQuest database, ScienceDirect, Cambridge University Press, Ebsco Host, World Scientific with the keywords factors compliance AND Health Protocols. Inclusion criteria for health protocol adherence factors during the Covid-19 pandemic, full text, and publication from 2016 to 2021. Assessment of the quality of articles was carried out using instruments from CONSORT. The total search from all databases was 3,447 articles, and after screening and evaluation there were 3 articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results show that many factors that affect adherence to health protocols are categorized into 2, namely behavior causes and non-behavior causes. Behavioral factors, namely perceived benefits, perceived gender barriers, and personal value ​​and social responsibility, belief in taking preventive action, intrinsic motivation factors (moral and social). Factors outside of behavior (non-behavior causes), namely sociodemography, personality, ideology, and emotions by complying with the COVID-19 public health protocol.
