Abstract

Exposure to information can affect the perception of right or wrong. Adolescents who are exposed to information about sexuality education will influence the adolescent's perception of sexuality education. This study aims to determine the relationship between information exposure and adolescents' perceptions of sexuality education at SMAN 3 Banjarmasin

This study used a cross-sectional design. The study population of adolescent students in grades X, XI and XII, both in science and social science at SMAN 3 Banjarmasin, totaling 565 people. The research sample was partly students of the class X of the SMAN 3 Banjarmasin, that is to say 130 people with a random sampling method proportional to purpose.

The results of this study indicate that the majority of respondents have been exposed to information about sex education (93.85%), the majority of respondents' perceptions about sex education are positive (76.9%), it There is a relationship between exposure to information and adolescent perceptions. on sex education (ρ = 0.000)

Schools are expected to provide knowledge and sex education not only academically. Sex education is not a taboo to explain to students, but it is sensitive in terms of childbirth. So that parents can provide information about sex education to their children as early as possible so that they do not find out about sexual problems from the wrong source.
